There are a world of updates to fill you in on before we simply dive into all that is Summer 2015 – but we’ll get to all that…
First, I am thrilled to kick off 2015’s initial Trashy Tuesday post with a truly profound film on the future of fashion! As I work to most properly evolve CurleeBikini into it’s next phase, I have been reading from new sources and studying a select group of business models – in the process I have discovered Shannon Whitehead of Factory 45. Beyond her work as a consultant and the amazing programs she is building to support Sustainable Apparel Designers, her blog is a treasure trove of information!
Most recently, an email from Shannon lead me to watch The Next Black. In short, this film is every reason (and more) that I have committed my passions to the sustainable garment industry. My love of fashion is tantamount to that of minimizing our environmental impact, yet as I further develop entrepreneurially – I realize that without fashion as my art, the conservation of our environment would remain THE driving force for any profession I might choose.
